How Do You Add Audio to a Website?

I was on the lookout for ways to add extra pizazz to my sites and websites, and have only just gotten to podcasts and audio. Podcasts appear to rank well in SEO. I began by reading a few of my posts to make a soundfile (using Audacity shareware) and LAME shareware since the structure converter to.mp3. It was easy to establish. The outcomes have been passable, and I quickly learned how to edit / divide the audio files with Audacity (after becoming tired of umpteen re-takes).

I then looked more closely in WordPress and found I couldn’t just load and go. I stumbled around and came across a number of posts discussing to WordPress plugins like Cool Player and Anarchy Media Player. I didn’t feel like putting up another plug in, together with the attendant threat of this program getting unsupported and so forth (lorelle's WordPress website was quite informative).

Therefore, I got to thinking. # & I 39;d simply published a podcast on Podbean and wondered if I could use that. And that I did, although it only seemed to focus on WordPress blogs that aren’t hosted by WordPress themselves.

Here's the way:

1. ) Log in to your Podbean accounts and find the compulsory podcast beneath My Dashboard / Handle tab.

2. Beneath the 'Play Now' buttons you need to observe the rectangular Audio MP3 button. Alongside this can be a list of choices underlined with dashes.

3. Click on the 'Embeddable Player' alternative and copy (ctrl + c) the script code from the box. There’s now a selection of just two button colours. I have a look in the html code and couldn’t find a fast way to alter the button motif colours.

3. Now, make your article on your WordPress site, with a few suitable text – only a brief overview of what’s from the podcast. My preference would be to incorporate the complete text of this article / article and supply the Audio option:

'In a rush? No time to read this fantastic article? Hit on the Podbean button and listen while you do something different! '

4. ) Then, glue in the Podbean script in which you need it on your article (be certain you have the Navigation view of this article ). I like to place it in the start, since you don’t want folks to read your article and find out they might have listened to it (although it will depend on material – if it’s pure informational or entertainment ).

# & That 39;therefore it just publish / upgrade your WordPress post along with the button will be live.

The fantastic thing is the button goes on the site 's RSS feed and can be available on the feedreader (I use feedburner, therefore I haven’t tested others) – the button shown correctly, and functioned as it should have.

This technique also works on blogger.

Thus, that's all there’s to it, looks great, works great, but doesn’t necessarily fit the theme colours!
